This site (roastandrise.example) and the services offered through it are operated by Roast & Rise Coffee Co., LLC, an Oregon limited liability company with its principal place of business at 2247 SE Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97214, United States ("Roast & Rise", "we", "us", or "our").
You can reach our legal contact at legal@roastandrise.example or by mail at the address above, attention: Legal.
By accessing, browsing, or placing an order on our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not use the site.
These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you and Roast & Rise. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order.
You may browse the site as a guest, but a registered account is required to manage subscriptions, view order history, or leave reviews.
When you register, you agree to:
We may suspend or terminate any account that provides false information, is used for fraud, or otherwise violates these Terms. You may close your account at any time from your account page or by writing to us.
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to buy the products listed. An order is not accepted, and no contract is formed, until we send an order-confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order for any lawful reason, including product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud.
All prices on the site are in United States dollars (USD) and exclude sales tax and shipping unless stated otherwise. Sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and applicable state law and is shown at checkout before you confirm payment.
Despite our best efforts, a product on our site may be mispriced. If a product's correct price is higher than the price on the site, we will contact you before shipping the order to (a) confirm you wish to proceed at the correct price or (b) cancel the order and issue a full refund.
Payment is due at the time of order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
Subscription orders renew automatically at the cadence you selected (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) until you cancel. By starting a subscription you authorize us to charge your saved payment method on each renewal date.
You may pause, skip, change frequency, change products, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Changes made at least 48 hours before your next scheduled roast date will apply to that shipment; changes made later will apply starting from the following shipment.
We may adjust subscription prices from time to time. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before any price change takes effect. If you do not cancel before the change takes effect, you are deemed to have accepted the new price.
Cancellation is immediate and does not incur a fee. You will not be billed again unless you resubscribe.
We ship within the United States via USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground. Detailed shipping timelines, rates, and international policies are set out in our Shipping & Returns policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Title and risk of loss pass to you when the parcel is handed to the carrier. If a shipment is lost in transit, we will file a claim and either resend the order or refund it at our discretion.
Because coffee is a perishable food product, we do not accept returns of opened bags. If your coffee arrives damaged, roasted more than fourteen days before the shipment date, or otherwise not as described, contact us within seven days of delivery and we will replace it or refund the affected item at no cost to you.
Gear, mugs, and other non-perishable merchandise may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging. You are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error.
Paid classes may be canceled by you for a full refund up to 72 hours before the class start time. Cancellations inside 72 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to availability. If we cancel a class we will offer a full refund or reschedule at your choice.
Free events (public Friday cupping, warehouse tours) do not require a reservation and cannot be reserved in advance. Seats are first-come, first-served.
Wholesale accounts are governed by a separate written wholesale agreement in addition to these Terms. Where the two conflict, the wholesale agreement controls for wholesale transactions.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAST & RISE, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR OUR PRODUCTS. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Informal resolution first. Before filing any lawsuit, you agree to contact us at legal@roastandrise.example and make a good-faith attempt to resolve the dispute for at least 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify registered users by email and post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Shipping & Returns policy, form the entire agreement between you and Roast & Rise regarding the site.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor in interest.
Contact. Questions about these Terms should be sent to legal@roastandrise.example.
